A GUIDE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO IMPROVE THEIR POOR & SLOW HANDWRITING:

                Are you curious about your handwriting while the exams are coming near day by day, as well as for many other purposes... its the best guide for you.

 IMPACT OF HANDWRITING:

        If you haven't yet thought that your handwriting can matter a lot in your exams and daily life, then you are missing a lot. Remember that the world always praises Good looking. And if the look of your page, your script, and your handwriting are simply attractive at a glance, then you will attract people, achieve grades, and grow your business as well. It's the attraction of something that grabs the "attention" of the readers which is most likely to benefit you in many regards. Hence it is clear that better handwriting is worth, a hundred times.

HOW TO IMPROVE THE SKILL:

    Well, to get improved, follow the given steps:

1) Test your present proficiency:

     To take a test, you'll have to take a paper & a pen or pencil probably which suits you and start writing a sentence which has all the alphabets of the language you wanna master your handwriting in (Such sentences are different for different languages). In the case of English, you can write the Sentence:

"A quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

    Remember to start a timer while writing to note down the time taken. Thereafter, note down the number of words per line and the time taken per unit line. In this way, you'll determine your handwriting speed and you can calculate the time you will take for different lengths of answers/essays in your exams. 

 2) Your Handwriting Style/Font:

       Whether you are serious about it or take it for granted, your handwriting style(font) & speed of writing definitely matter a lot no matter who you are, and what your age e.g. if you are writing in a single stroke per word (cursive handwriting) then you will take the lead over the one who writes a word in several strokes. So you should take care while adopting a style of handwriting because the words with joined alphabets are written efficiently. But remember, everyone feels easy for his/her own kind of natural font of handwriting, so it's upon you to discover the best font that suits you.

3) Your Pen holding style (Grip over Pen):

     It's equally important for the speed as well as the neatness of your handwriting to hold your pen in the most perfect way you can. Note the following standard points for better pen grip:

• Hold it around 1-1.5cm above the nib.
• Tilt your pen to around 45° to 55°.
• Put down your hand on the surface while handwriting.
• Just move your fingers rather than the whole hand while writing.
• Place your lower arm on a surface while writing.
• Put both of your feet on the ground while writing.
• Keep your back perpendicular to the ground.

LOOKING FOR A NICER FONT, FOLLOW THIS:

    When improving your handwriting, especially optimizing the shape of alphabets, the following points should be kept in mind:

• Always write alphabets with straight lines, because alphabets with curves are less likely to appeal.
• Have one or two alphabets space between two words and have all of the paras with equally spaced words. If you leave many gaps between your words, it's gonna give your handwriting an immature look.
• The size of your alphabet should be the same throughout the line as it enhances neatness.
• Keep the start of every para you start aligned with the previous one.
• Keep the margins of your paragraphs aligned from both sides of the page or at least from one side (mostly the texts are left-aligned, it would give you an edge if you keep a justified text in your paragraphs except the starting line which won't be left-aligned)
• Practically, a smaller font is easier to speed up than a large font.
• But writing minuscule would be crazy.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE & PRACTICE:

        This is the only rule to rule over the era. The more you practice, the more you are gonna have achievements. It is well said that,

"Practice makes a Man perfect."

        I emphasize too much to do at least 1 month of practice on a particular font of handwriting to adapt to it perfectly. Once you stick to a particular style(font), don't you have to alter your handwriting times and again as it weakens your speed and makes the handwriting worse & doesn't allow your brain automating system(cerebellum) enough time to get perfectly adapted to a single font, hence resulting in mixed & a conscious approach towards your writing.
